How do you discuss or report something suspicious?

If you see, hear or experience something unusual at Schiphol Airport, please report it. Even if you don't have hard evidence, it is important to talk to someone about this. There are several ways to do this. For example, you can speak directly to a colleague who is behaving strangely, or discuss it with your supervisor.

What are suspicious situations?

Often, it is the accumulation of certain situations that is significant. Perhaps not every activity is suspicious, but you can always report a situation if you have your doubts.

Money

Someone who offers you money in exchange for information, the use of your access card, or another strange request.

Unauthorized

Someone is in a place where they are not allowed to go (anymore), such as a former colleague who still has their pass or someone with someone else's pass.

Out of ordinary

A colleague wants to change working days regularly. Being at work without being on duty.

Pictures

Someone (this can also be a colleague) takes pictures of an airplane, your workplace, or entrances and exits.

Strange questions

Someone who keeps asking about your work and especially wants to know details about where you work, which flights you work on, and wants to know your work schedule.

Reporting isn't always easy, especially if you don't feel safe. Fortunately, you can also report something anonymously. There is often a fixed reporting procedure within your company or organisation. This usually looks like this:
