On the way to the warehouse, he meets a man in the hallway.

The man wears a safety vest, access pass and work boots properly.

And he seems to know his way around. Nevertheless, he asks Wessel for help.

Man: Can I ask you a question? Do you know where the coffin that just arrived from South America is located?

Wessel does not understand the question very well. At work, no one asks these kinds of questions.

Wessel: “I don't know, man. But ask otherwise when planning, right there at the end of the hall.

Wessel continues, thoughtfully. He doesn't like the situation.

A day later, Wessel immediately visits his manager Marco. He tells him what happened.

Wessel: I thought it was a strange question, so I'll stop by anyway.

Marco: Yes, good of you... I think we should report this.

Wessel: Oh. Is that really necessary?

Marco: Yes. You can also do it anonymously...

Wessel: Uhm... Yes.

Marco: You know what, I'll do that report. Then you stay out of it. Don't worry.

Wessel goes back to work. A few weeks later, he sees Marco talking to two detectives in his room.

He asks Marco about it.

Marco: That report the other day was taken up by the detective. It has provided a breakthrough in an ongoing investigation and they have dismantled a criminal organization.

I'm happy with people like you Wessel.

Marco thanks Wessel for his attention. And that makes Wessel a bit proud.

If something seems suspicious, it probably is. So always report this. This can also be done anonymously.

When something seems suspicious, it often is.

If you don't trust something, it's best to always report it. For example, by talking to your manager about it. You can also report anonymously, for example to the Marechaussee or M. Want to know more? Check out the page report.
