In the baggage cellar, Mason is immediately put to work. He is assigned to a team that welcomes him but does not spare him. Mason has to work hard to keep up with the others. At the end of the day, he's broken but satisfied. His colleagues are proud of him. “You're going to go a long way,” says Marco, the tallest of the bunch.

After a week or two, Mason feels completely at home. It is used to work and is running at full speed. He knows he can count on his colleagues and they can count on him. However, Mason is also noticing things more and more. He sees that members of his team sometimes hide a suitcase. Strange packages are being transferred and some colleagues stay away for a very long time when they go to the toilet. His team members act like nothing's wrong, but Mason doesn't trust it. There is a gap between him and his colleagues until Marco takes him aside.

“How are you Mason?”

“Yes, good man. Good. '

“Do we still enjoy working here?”

“Yes man, that's a great job, isn't it?”

“Yes, definitely. Great job. Fine... But we also have to protect each other a little bit, huh. We're doing this work together. '

“I don't know what you mean.”

“Well, we're keeping our mouths shut about what's happening here. That's what I mean. Otherwise, it can suddenly become uncomfortable. I did see you watching. '

“Sorry man, I'm just new, isn't it. I know a lot. '

“It's simple. Just pretend there's nothing wrong. Then there's no problem, Mason... And get to work now. '

Mason returns to work but is shocked by Marco's words. He would love to talk to someone about it, but he doesn't know who. Who can you trust?...

Report any strange event

If you see, hear or experience something strange, it's best to always report it. This can be done in many ways. For example, you can directly address a colleague who is acting strangely or discuss it with your supervisor. But that's not always easy, especially when you don't feel safe. Many companies have a counselor you can always go to, but you can also report anonymously, for example to the Marechaussee. Want to know more? Check out the page report.
